Hawaii On Your Own, Inc. is a corporation doing business over the Internet. We provide a service to the public with information about tourists traveling on their own on the island of Oahu. The information provided is as accurate as we know it to be. We are not responsible for any changes that are made by any of the businesses that we have showcased in our product.
You may not copy anything from this website, however, you can use it as research for your project. You may email us for any further information you may need or to ask permission to use anything from this website. Permission must be granted before anything is copied from this website.
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these Terms & Conditions at any time. Please check these terms periodically for changes
Refunds
There will be no refunds after purchasing the e-guide because the product is well represented on the preview page. It would be most difficult to have the product returned for a refund without the product being photocopied for buyer's use. Customer service is our first priority and that is why customers are invited to email us with any questions they may have before they purchase the product. Questions are answered within 24 and 48 hours.
If, for some reason, the download does not go well, you will have permission to do one more download at another computer. You will pay another charge for another ebook, then you will be immediately reimbursed for the second ebook.
Privacy Statement
For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server recognizes no information regarding the domain or e-mail address. We collect the e-mail address of those who communicate with us via e-mail, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, user specific information on what pages consumers access or visit and information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information. The information that is gathered is for statistical data and marketing purposes.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use our site. The only drawback to this is that the user will be limited in some areas of our site.
Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Newsletter
If a user wishes to subscribe to our newsletter, we ask for contact information such as name, email address, age and mailing address.
Surveys
From time-to-time our site requests information from users via surveys. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site and the product (e-guide).
Email-A-Friend
If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our site, we ask them for the friend’s name and email address. Hawaii On Your Own will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the site. Hawaii On Your Own stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. The friend may contact Hawaii On Your Own at http://www.hawaiionyourown.com to request the removal of this information from our database.
Security
This website takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.
While we use our best efforts to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers’ information is protected.

(even if Hawaii On Your Own, Inc. is advised beforehand of the possibility of such damages). You specifically acknowledge and agree that Hawaii On Your Own, Inc. is not liable for any defamatory, offensive or illegal conduct of conditions, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using Hawaii On Your Own, Inc.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
